What the app does

Article Helper lets you enter German nouns and provides the correct definite article (der, die, das). You can save nouns with their corresponding articles as favorites. The article is determined using artificial intelligence - currently we use Google's Gemini API.

Storage and data processing

Your favorites are stored exclusively locally on your mobile phone. Apart from using Artificial Intelligence (requests to the Gemini API), no data is processed or transmitted outside the app. When you use the AI function, your inputs are transmitted to the Gemini API for processing. The Gemini API – Additional Terms and Google's usage policies apply.

Gemini API Terms

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Gemini APIs; the services must not be intended for minors. Access is only permitted within the regions available from Google; in the EEA, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom only paid services may be used. You must not bypass the security features of the services and must comply with the policy on prohibited use of generative AI. Note on AI results

The articles provided by the AI are suggestions. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or suitability in each case. You make your own decisions about how you use the generated content.

Your obligations

Use the app only in accordance with applicable law and respect the rights of third parties. Do not enter illegal content and avoid sensitive or personal data in the AI function.

Availability and changes

We strive to provide high availability, but cannot guarantee it. App features may be changed, expanded, or discontinued at any time.

Liability

We are liable under statutory provisions only for intent and gross negligence; liability for slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Liability for indirect damages, consequential damages, lost profits, and data loss is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

Costs

The use of the app is currently free of charge. Future paid components will be announced in the app or through official channels. When using paid services of the Gemini API, Google's respective payment and data processing terms apply.

Rights and license

All rights to the name, design, software, and content of the app belong to Stoneflower EU. You receive a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app in accordance with these terms.

Termination

We may terminate or restrict your use of the app for good cause, particularly in case of violations of these terms. You can terminate use at any time by uninstalling the app and deleting local data (favorites) on your device.

Changes to these terms

We may adjust these terms of use. Significant changes will be announced in the app. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.

Applicable law and jurisdiction

Austrian law applies, excluding conflict-of-law provisions. The place of jurisdiction is Vienna, unless another mandatory jurisdiction applies.
